Thrust Setting Limitations

The main cause of engine limitations is due to the exhaust gas temperature.
The take off and go around thrust represent the maximum thrust available for take off and go around, respectively. It is certified for a maximum time of 10 and 5 minutes in case of an engine failure and all engines operative, respectively.
The maximum thrust that can be used unlimitedly in flight, is called the maximum continuous thrust. Finally, the climb thrust represents the maximum thrust available during the climb phase to the cruise flight level.
